We used to be satisfied with receiving our monthly wage from a multi-national company. Beau even went abroad to earn more. When we had our first child we decided to settle in the Philippines, but with the hope of migrating when our children are old enough. Mitch continued with her day job while Beau helped set-up two new businesses. But we were constantly questioning if we made the right choice of staying in the Philippines instead of working abroad where all the dollars are. We bought Robert Kiyosaki's rich dad poor dad but never got to read it entirely. Then Mitch became a member of the Kerygma Family and Truly Rich Club (which changed her outlook on money as not a source of evil), read about making multiple income streams, enrolled in Jomar Hilario's Internet Marketing, enrolled in Trace Trajano's Think Rich Quick 2, read Larry Gamboa's Think Rich, Pinoy and voila, we became instant believers that yes, the pinoy can. We admit we are not yet financially free but we now know where we are going, and it's not abroad to work, but to stay here with the family and earn together. And yes, we finally finished reading Kiyosaki's book and even played the cash flow game. We started investing in real estate and Mitch has a growing internet based business. The day job is still there, the businesses set-up previously are starting to earn. We are into the stock market and networking too. It's a long way to go but with mentors like Bo Sanchez, Larry Gamboa, Jomar Hilario, JanMc Hilado, Trace Trajano to guide us, am sure we will get to our goals soon.
Going abroad?
Sure. But as tourists or on pilgrimage.
See you around."

Indeed...though I am currently working here in Guam. I have a dream but by the age of 40 I will be retiring as an employee and will be earning from my businesses and investments back in the Philippines(which I am still working on at my age of 29 :) ) As one Chinese businessman said it doesn't matter wherever you are in the world...even if you go to the US which most called "greener pasture" there is a common thing between one who is in the US or in China... we all struggle to survive....
